This was an excellent trail. We went on a mild day in December and the trails were in great shape. Very little ice and a herd of cattle were roaming around. Great views of the flatirons.

Made for a very nice late afternoon hike. Gentle grades and beautiful views. The large gravel on some parts of the trail was a bit annoying as it wears on your feet even with good boots, but it was well worth it for the scenery.

Casual hike, very busy with bike traffic. Hikers do not have the right of way.

Relatively nice hike. Lots of sun exposure though. Wear sunscreen.

Although my wife and I loved the scenery, we found the large gravel on the trail pretty bothersome. We both have nice trail shoes with good tread and thicker soles but still felt every step. But I have to say, it is worth the views. Just be sure you don't wear thin shoes.
