Mountain bike ride or hike southwest of Denver This trail is intermediate in difficulty with one advanced technical section (beware of the stairs).
Offers a few scenic trails not far from town. Plenty of parking and restrooms at the trailhead.
Visitor from out of town - beautiful CO views!
We loved this close to home trail. Did the whole thing with my dog who enjoyed it too. Wish there was water in the creek but dry time now. Take the meadowlark trail over the steeper lose rock trail on the left of trail head. Found that too slippery on the way down if walking. This hike offers a mixture of forest, and beautiful views. Started at 8:00 and had very little traffic. Took us 4 hours to do all.
Good trail, close to home.
Fun to trail run at times. Various options for length. The view point was somewhat disappointing. Saw a great view right on the trail. Shaded in many parts. Watch out for mountain bikers!
Went up to Bill Couch Mountain and the trail was not crowded, though that could be because I started hiking at around noon and the high was 96. With that said, there was a nice breeze and enough shade to keep somewhat cool. Knowing hiking in this area can be fairly flat, I was pleasantly surprised by the elevation gain along this route. Overall a very nice day hike relatively close to Denver!
Fun trail.. Very scenic.
Very nice trail with some lovely views! Not too long, not too difficult and we even had a five year old that walked it with us with no trouble. Good afternoon hike!

really close to denver and can be as long or as short as you would like it to be. The trail has some nice views of the valley below. it is heavily trafficked, but once you get to the upper loops is better. there are multiple loops to make the hike longer if you would like. it is a little muddy this time of year. great location, good hike, good for half day without having to go on I 70
