Green Mountain Trail is a 5.4 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Sedalia, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October.
This hike is extremely difficult to get to, it's not well marked, and you have to drive for over 5 miles on an extremely bumpy dirt road that was so hard on tires. I absolutely do not recommend this hike.
Very popular section of Colorado trail because of lack of strenuous sustained climbs and overall well maintained singletrack.(1650 vertical all tolled).$5 trailhead (little Scraggly Peak) fee. Beautiful scenery, trails well marked. Green Mt. trail is a loop best done counterclockwise, so pass the 1st entrance. Many trails intersect so watch for correct route. Lots of scenic overlooks. Bathroom at trailhead.
