Gorgeous hike, the view at the top is completely worth it.
solid trail for a short hike with people visiting from lower elevations. Not too difficult if you're in good condition and take your time.
Breathtaking view at the top! Not hard but easily get off trail. when you get to the top, there is a side trail behind the rocks (easy to miss) to take you to an open area with great view, and perfect for a picnic. It took us 2 and half hours round trip with small kids in our group. Will come back again!
If your looking to pack in a great hike hike in a short period of time, this is it. Close to town and depending upon which route you choose, this hike could be easy or hard. It has great views of Boulder and The Flatirons.
Heads up - tried to hike on Wednesday October 19 and there was a sign for closures on Wednesdays and Thursdays due to trail overuse.
Pretty awesome and can be done in a short amount of time. We went up the trail to the second flatiron in about an hour but didn't have time to do the first being we had to be at the airport. Will for sure go back
Just finished this hike, wasn't too bad at all. The views are wonderful. However it's a high traffic trail, which makes it difficult to find your zen. Overall it's a great morning hike.
Beautiful trail very rewarding
Great hike! Nice crew rebuilding the trail.
Very crowded and lots of impacted areas from people cutting the switchbacks but a beautiful area none the less
Great trail! Went up on a Saturday morning. Pretty crowded but everyone was super nice! Boulder is making repairs so the trail is closed two days per week. Make sure to check the signs on the bottom before you go up.
Challenging, but well worth it!
Fun, but steep hike. Lots of beautiful views of CU Boulder and downtown Denver as you ascend. There are some areas of exposure and shade, but more importantly, watch your step as you reach the boulder fields. The trail is definitely packed on the weekends, so just go at off-times (sunrise/set, winter, etc) and you'll be fine.
Beautiful little hike
it was a lovely challenge and a beautiful view at the top!
We did the second Flatiron and it was great. Awesome views when you get to the top. Challenging going up at some points, but a great hike. Worth it for the views.
