Always beautiful but always crowded too.
Pretty chill little hike right out of Boulder.
There's a reason it's a local favorite- it's close to downtown, challenging and has great views. This trail splits into a handful of others. Great short day hike if you're in the Boulder area.
Starts off with some serious straight up, but definitely gets easier and connects with some other good trails.
Gorgeous views of Boulder! Easy for anyone to hike or for a nice nature walk. Highly trafficked in Boulder.
Gradual slope with great view, don't forget to look behind you! I did the first part of the trail, looping back around, in Birkenstocks and found that to be quite manageable but would recommend hiking boots if you intend to pick more of the many trail options beyond that. Pick up a map in the Rangers cabin when you arrive. Such varied views!
Loved the views
Great views of Boulder!
The trail we took got quite challenging at some points, but the view from the top was worth everything. Beautiful over look of Boulder, CO and beyond. Did get quite windy and a little chilly at the top, so I would suggest bring a light jacket if going up in spring time like myself.
Wonderful place to visit with those family members who can't participate in steep hiking. Always crowded, but always beautiful.
Easy hike, well travelled, friendly people.
