Mount Falcon Castle Trail is a 7.9 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Morrison, CO that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Starts climbing immediately through gorgeous miles of switch backs.

great trail for kids. the ruins and lookout posts have them interested 3 miles round trip.
I conquered this hike today with dog pal moose. It was great and sunny and some what challenging as it was incline all the way up. There were a lot of bikes which wasn't the best but it was fun none the less. The ruins at the top were great but walkers dream also has some great beautiful views. Great hike if you are trying to work out those legs and butt !
Great hike with spectacular views and wildlife.
Me and my 2 dogs started with the Turkey Trot trail followed by the Castle Trail to the top. Good mix of shade and exposure, and a pretty unrelenting, yet gentle, incline the entire way up. I also did Paramalee, Meadow, and part of Two Dog trails. Total about 10 miles. I'd avoid it on the weekend due to the number of people (and children) at the top, but it's nice during the week. Great workout and awesome views from the observation deck off of Meadows/Tower trail at the top.
Great trails. Good views of mountain meadows, Denver area and red rocks.
Beautiful easy hike close to Denver
Great trail. Lots of the terrain was flat with some rocky portions mixed in, but definitely a good cardio workout on the gradually ascending switchbacks. Some great views and cool ruins at the top.
Great trail. Neat views of Denver and Red Rocks, easily accessable from Denver. Encountered quite a few other hikers and cyclists on the trail but I wouldn't say it was obnoxious in any way. Spotted lots of deer, rabbits and (surprise!) falcons.
I want to love this trail just like the rest of this park but it's often incredibly packed and that for me detracts from it all. If you need a quick weekday get away though, I do recommend it! Just like most other trails in the park, it's great for families and kids. I plan to come back in winter to give it a light snowy go.
Great for a quick Denver get-away! I'd rate this trail moderate.
it was awesome, saw a good size Rattlesnake near the top ,going back !
If you're looking for a short, easy hike, park in the West Parking Lot. Take the Castle Trail to the fire tower, follow Tower Trail to Meadow and meet Castle trail again at the Walker House. In total the hike is just shy of 3 miles and less strenuous than coming from the east. The east parking offers you access to the Castle Trail from lower elevation, so it's a bit of a climb, and more of a day hike.
