West Valley Loop Trail is a 6.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Yosemite National Park, California that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Horses are also able to use this trail.
The tram takes you around the valley floor. So although it's a loop it's more of a road not a hiking trail. FYI. But a bike is a great way to go on the bike path. It's just busy in the summer.
The Yosemite Valley Floor Loop is an awesome, easy, and convenient way to see the main features of the Valley. It's flat and accessible for pretty much everyone, but it can be long for some folks. IT'S OPEN YEAR-AROUND! I have hiked it before and it's great, just really crowded. However the last time I did it my friend and I rode her horses, now THAT is the way to do it.
If you're staying in Yosemite, rent a bicycle and take a spin around the valley!
