West Fork Trail is a 2.2 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Rancho Cucamonga, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
Not long after you descend into the canyon, the trail is not maintained. Maybe if I hadn't been trying to run it, I would have been less disappointed, but I just wasn't impressed with what I saw and experienced. The views were mediocre, the insects were relentless, and the overgrowth on the trail was discouraging. I did 14 miles on the trail, 7 out and 7 back, and I just couldn't convince myself it was worth it to go further.
