Absolutely loved hiking here!
Great views atop the rocks. The trails are not clearly marked in some areas, but it is fun to explore. We happened to go a few day after some heavy rain and it was crisp and clear.
I took the PCT through the tunnel, and just a little beyond. There's really not much to see once you go through the tunnel. Best thing about this trail is the rock formations. I recommend doing this hike during the cooler months, as there is no shade except down in the canyons. Stunning scenery. Bring plenty of water, a hat, and sun block anytime of year.
Great views and just a pleasure to hike.
My husband and i went here in October and the weather was perfect. The climbing is relatively easy but there are some optional more difficult parts that i let my husband try first to see if i was able to do it. Overall there are alot of easily accessible high up point to climb to that still give you the satisfaction of climbing. Very fun and i definitely enjoyed the geography trail by the parking lot.
Great easy hike around the park and lots of fun rock formations to mess around on. For those looking for a longer and harder hike, fallow the PCT trail south through the tunnel of darkness were it continues on through some serious mountains. just be careful not to go to far, PCT never ends!
