The hiking and area is quite nice. There are a number of trails and short spurs off the trails. Waterfall Trail the main trail to see the falls. It actually splits into 2 trails very early on. One will be a single file trails that goes along the stream. The other is a very wide dirt road(big enough for a car). They are very close to each other. 85-90+% shaded. Contour Trail Really nice single file trail. 95+% shaded. Alec Canyon an out and back trail about 4-8 feet wide. 80+% shaded. Knibbs Knob didnt hike this one.
It's an amazing hike!!! easy for first timers. you will fall in love with this hike
Awesome trail! Great views of waterfalls!!
Nice and shady. Beautiful, easy hike with kids (ages 5 and 12). The signage isn't the best so take a map.
beautiful hike along the creek... lots of waterfalls. We hiked to the hothouse and back.
Great hike on a rainy day when you don't want to trek far but want to see something. The waterfalls and not large but are pretty. Stick to the trail near the river the road isn't all that interesting. We also went up the knobcone trail but didn't find it worth the effort. Not really any vistas up there and a very steep climb. Keep it simple and enjoy all the waterfalls.
Early September and yet the spring fed creek is enough for most of the waterfalls along this trail to be active. A shady trail, dusty yes, but the sound of running water in the creek made for a very serene hike. Not crowded, easy parking in day lot. Next time we will explore the longer trails...
Discovered Alltrails.com today! A great resource!
Nice hike, well shaded and not many people if you start early. will have to come back when the water levels are higher
good trail for the area...small waterfall and short trail however I didn't hike farther out because the provided maps didn't show that much info
