Twin Lakes and Fish Lake Trail is a 5.3 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Forks of Salmon, California that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from June until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Twin Lakes and Fish Lake are shallow little ponds that sit in an isolated drainage northwest of Deadman Peak. This one is subject to cattle grazing. Free wilderness permit required for overnight visitors. Free campfire permits required for fires and camp stoves. Trails in the Trinity Alps are always open: however, most trailhead access roads are closed or impassable during winter.
