Trail Gulch-Long Gulch Loop Trail is a 7.8 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Forks of Salmon, California that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from June until October. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail.
Score great swimming, fishing, and ridgetop views at these easy-access lakes. Be sure to purify all water and carry plenty to drink on the ridgetop trail between lakes; no water is available above the lakes. Free wilderness permit required for overnight visitors. Free campfire permits required for fires and camp stoves. Trails in the Trinity Alps are always open: however, most trailhead access roads are closed or impassable during winter.
