Sylvan Park Trail is a 1 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Redlands, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
dogs on leash
The park is on N. University Street on the left hand side if your travelling North on Univeristy, It's close to I-10.
This is one of my present favorite street walks in Redlands. Sylvan is a good city park, and University of Redlands is a medium attractive private college. Both are worth the walk. I suggest keeping your dog on a leash (bring doggies litter bags). Parking is anywhere around the perimeter of the college (not so much on the North side of Campus though - the sports complexes are hard to navigate), or around Sylvan Park. Right on Univerity Street along side Sylvan Park is a good spot also. Be careful crossing University Street in the middle of the block, there can be a lot of traffic. Don't miss the entrance to the Math Building (Appleton Hall) on the North East side of the Campus. In the vestibule, make some noise - it's an acoustic marvel, and fun.
