Soledad Mountain is a 6 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near La Jolla, CA and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and trail running and is accessible year-round.
There is no trail. The paragraph above that states it is "a 6 mile lightly trafficked" trail is from Jerry Shad's book, 50 Best Short Hikes, San Diego. On pages 81 - 83 there is a description of the route and a map. It is all roads--lightly trafficked roads. His hike/walk route is an in and out--not a loop. There are some very steep areas.
Terrible. No trails. No map. Pass.
The view from the top is amazing. You can see all areas of San Diego from this view! Beautiful!
Not much of a hike but once atop the mountain you see all of san diego in 360.
The hike was really pretty but it just wasn't as good as some of the other hikes on this site
What trail? Must have to walk thru the neighborhood. Great view from the top and loved the Veterans Memorial! Thanks Vets!!!!
I think one must walk up the neighborhood street, strange because no sidewalk of such.
Couldn't find trailhead, but walking the neighborhood hills was fun.
2 Stars because I didn't find any trailhead, however, it was an honorable time walking around the cross seeing all the service men & women go gave their lives for this great country. I did a photo shoot of the cross and the flag and thought I would share it with you all.
I never found the trailhead!!! Anybody????
