Slacker Hill Trail is a 1.1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Sausalito, California that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
Slacker Hill offers some of the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Downtown San Francisco. Get away from the crowds and venture to the top of Slacker Hill! Bring your camera to remember this scenic place. From the parking area cross Mccollough rd and enter the trail past a gate. Climb up until you can't go up anymore
Parking available near round about along with bathroom which is nice. I recommend hand sanitizer though. Short and a little steep, but well worth it. The view is stunning and much better than pulling off on the side of road with tourist. Highly recommend.
Short but steep incline. Overall easy hike. The panoramic views of the east bay all the way to the Farallon islands is amazing on a clear day.
Amazing hike, must go all the way down to the old broken fort for the amazing view.
The Slacker portion is super short. The views are incredible and are probably as good as it gets for seeing San Francisco, Marin, and the bridges. It is very exposed. I walked it with the pups but will return to run it.
I started up Alta/Morning Sun and went South, across SCA and Coastal before heading up Slacker. That route was a little over 4 miles round trip. I highly recommended this trail for the views. Absolutely amazing.
On a day with little wind .. one of my favorites!
Excellent hike and so worth the walk! It is pretty tough getting up the trail but when you get to the top it's worth everything in the world. Ten thumbs up!
Surprised there aren't more comments on this trail. If you are in San Fran this a MUST DO hike. Awesome 360 degree views of the bay, city and GG bridge. It's a steep hike up but short and worth every step. If you're in the area this is a quick and easy hike with a rewarding view at the top!
Great spot for photography of the Golden Gate bridge and city beyond. A more rare perspective of the bridge, as most simply stick with the vista points off the main road. A quick, yet strenuous hike up steep hillsides. Worth it.
