Silver Lake is a 26.6 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Springville, CA that features a waterfall and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, camping, fishing, and fly fishing and is accessible from July until October.
A 31 mile round trip starting in Mineral King (Sequoia National Park). Stay a night at Bullfrog Lakes and then another at Silver Lake. Fish are in Silver Lake. Camping at both lakes are within the Golden Trout Wilderness in Sequoia National Forest. Silver Lake is an "out and back trip that is perfect for an extended weekend. Youll pass over Farewell Gap into Mountain Yellow-Legged Frog habitat. There are no fish in the headwaters of the Little Kern River or Bullfrog Lakes. If you want to fish, then power uphill to Silver Lake for plenty of fish.
