SF Bay Trail Through Eden Landing is a 4.6 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Hayward, CA that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
This section the SF Bay Trail takes you through the salt marshes with views of the bay and many of the skylines. The path is not paved, but well maintained and suitable for anything from pushing a stroller to riding a bike. There's a parking lot at Eden Landing and neighborhood parking where it ends. Unfortunately, you can't proceed along the bay from here and have to work inland to continue south.
Nice views of the bay. Lots of birds. If you want, you can start at the interpretive center and do the Cogswell marsh trail, then cross the pedestrian bridge over 92 and do this trail too for about 10 miles total. I like biking along the SF bay trail, but the path is mostly gravel, so make sure you have some durable tires that can handle the abuse.
An easy trail that winds through the salt marshes. As this borders the reserve, there are hundreds of birds to be seen. There are great views of the bay and the SF skyline.
