San Marcos Foothills Preserve is a 3.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Santa Barbara, California that offers scenic views. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking, walking, and trail running. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

This is pretty much a walk unless you go out of bounds and start up the sides. Mostly in the sun, so bring a hat.
Don't bother going in the summer, it's too dry - otherwise wait until spring when things are blooming.
Live close to it! Definitely a nice easy/sometimes moderate hike with pretty views.
More of a walk than a hike. Nice during the week when you want a little exercise but don't want to spend time driving to a trailhead.
