The trail behind the yellow gate is closed but the other trail was open. It was an overcast day but still pretty view of the beach. Saw lots of cool lizards and flowers on the cactus. Definitely recommend

It was a lot of fun the only issue was the last 2 miles are shut down. You'll have to hike down from the peak and walk down PCH to your car or you'll have to backtrack.

Trail is closed due to rains. Do not go unless you know that the trail is open but it probably won't be open for a while.

Such a beautiful hike!

Great hike for exercise with some breathtaking views along the path (especially on a clear day). Be mindful of narrow and steep spots along the trail especially if hiking with children. Fairy easy and seems long with all the swithcbacks. Highly recommend for families.

Well traveled path, awesome ocean views, great gradual almost zig zag climb. Did this climb this weekend and doing it again next weekend. Use mosquito spray or you'll be eaten alive. Not kidding! If you make the climb during the morning wear a hat for shade and sunscreen because there isn't much shade. Evening hikes yield shade from the other mountain once the sun begins to set. Overall a great height.

Lovely view, popular spot. Easy to extend the hike for miles into La Jolla or Sycamore Canyon.

Hiked this as part of a much longer hike this past Saturday. It boasts great views of Sycamore Canyon, the Boney Mountain range including Sandstone Peak, the coast and Mugu Rock. I enjoyed the nice ocean breeze on the way back down.

Great trail with beautiful views. Multiple sections covering sprawling meadows, moderate elevation increases and breathtaking ocean views!

Just did ray miller trail to fire overlook road to la jolla. It was a nice hike with beautiful views of the ocean, but the Spring Fire devastated the vegetation. I imagine under normal circumstances, this is an amazing hike, but missed the green.

Great Trail, even after the Springs Fire. We did Ray Miller to Overlook Fire Rd, to La Jolla Canyon past the falls(dry). About 7 miles with 1300' gain, but the gain is all switchbacks, so it was easy going and beautiful. Highly recommend doing this loop either clockwise or counter.
