Elevation to only 400 ft so it was fairly easy. If you bear to the left at the fork you can extend trail for miles. Fabulous views!

It's one of those trails that's difficult to find because the entrance is narrow which you can easily pass when driving Hwy 243 from Banning side. One of those least traveled trail that is worthy, specially with pooch. The views are magnificent at the summit 360 degrees. Where you can see the Casino Morongo on the North. Idyllwild on the South. This is a clearly defined trail and the widest compared to many of the trails in Idyllwild. Will remind you of Mt. Rubidoux with the exception that it's not paved. This trail has a lot of sun exposure despite all the landscape trees and tall shrubs bordering the trail. This trail is open year round, no fee to hike or park.
