Palm Canyon Trail to East Fork Trail is a 5.4 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Palm Desert, CA that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from October until May.
The park closes at 5 to allow for the wildlife to take over, so we were only able to get about 5 miles in, but the trail was beautiful with a nice mix of mountain and desert views. I give it a 10 on the Lenny Pepperbottom "neature" scale.
Take the warning about rattlesnakes serious - about the time we let down our guard we made a new friend crossing our path within a few steps.
Really pretty, with a decent amount of shade
Great hike through an oasis.
Amazing trail. Would recommend going after a rain if possible, the waterfalls are small butt incredible!
You guys need to update the DIRECTIONS to this trail because it leads us to the middle of nowhere.
Discovered this trail starts at Pine View Dr. up in Hwy 74 and ends around the Vons Shopping Center in Palm Springs. The trail at Hwy 74 side is actually pretty nice, except for the gnats. It's astonishing how everybody passes this street up in Hwy 74 unaware there's a trail at the end of this paved road. Anybody driving through Hwy 74, check it out, this trail is pretty cool.
For new bikers on this trail you should take it slow and wear a helmet
