Beginning at Mission Dam parking lot. Up the Saddle to S. Fortuna. Onward down the 'staircase' into the valley, across the river and toward the Visitor's Center. Cross the road and up Climber's Loop. Off trail at top of ascent and scramble up rocky path. Head for the peak to find trail back to Dam.

Pros:
- Hardly anyone else on the trail. A few people at the entrance but then only saw 2-3 other groups on this hike.
- lots of fun bridges and water breaks along the way
- bouldering along the dam
- many trail options to extend the hike and make it a bit more challenging

Cons:
- Close to freeway
- The smell at the entrance

It was hot out, would definitely suggest going earlier in the morning before it heats up, but there's lots of scenery here!
