quick hike uphill and into the canyon gets you to natural bridge. You can climb up to the top of the arch, but be careful, the footing is sketchy
Short uphill hike uphill....really pretty. The drive up to the trail head is very roughly graded dirt.
Perfect short hike for family w 3 & 7 yr olds in tow. Got to land bridge and went back. The entry road is rough, 4wd recommended if you want to keep your hubcaps.
This is a very easy hike and fun for a variety of people. Just make sure you're in a vehicle that you don't mind taking on a rough dirt road, because the parking lot is a little ways off the main road.
This was an interesting trail after doing Badwater Basin and heading back north. The trail is 0.9 miles in length one way. At 0.3 miles, you will see the bridge. The trail does continue to a dead end further along. There are two sections where you might need to scramble a little; they might be tough for some to get up and down.
End of season for comfortable hiking temperatures. Even with an early start and projected temp at Furnace Creek to be 112, it was already in the upper 80's at 8am and climbing fast. No one else was on the trail though! And it is easy but all uphill. The scramble at the end up to the dead end dry fall is worth it according to my husband.
Nice hike. Another busy one with family's and screaming kids. Most seem to stop at the bridge....keep walking....the dry waterfall is pretty cool.
The Natural Bridge is cool. The canyon is also cooler then the Valley. However, I didn't complete the hole trail because my kids were tired from the rest of the days activities.
the hike is really easy and it is mostly flat. I recommend that you continue on the trail until you reach the dry waterfall. It's not that far from the bridge and in my opinion, it was far more interesting than the bridge itself
Neat place the arch is cool. I just love all the dry waterfalls in the canyon. Also this place is a Zoo...lol
This is fairly easy to walk and it looks nice. There is a chance to get in the shade at the right time of the day and it feels cooler than being out in the basin at least a little. We stopped here and had lunch and walked the trail. It is very crowded though so expect lots of people from little kids to the elderly and tons of students. It's worth the visit though!
