Mendocino Botanical Gardens is a 2.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Fort Bragg, California that features beautiful wild flowers. The trail is good for all skill levels.
THE NUMBER ONE ATTRACTION IN MENDOCINO/ FORT BRAGG IS THE BOTANICAL GARDENS. THIS IS ABOVE ALL SURROUNDING HIKES IN THE AREA. THIS PLACE HAS IT ALL. IT HAS AMAZING GARDENS GALORE, WALKWAYS, EXTREMELY WELL KEPT UP, FESTIVALS ALL TIMES OF YEARS WHICH ADDS TO THE ALLURE, EXCELLENT BLUFF/OCEAN FRONT, AND A HIKE OF AT LEAST 2 MILES IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE WHOLE PLACE. NOTHING IS AS ENJOYABLE AS THIS SITE JUST SOUTH OF FORT BRAGG. THERE ARE BETTER FORESTS, BETTER HEADLANDS, BUT FOR THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE, NOTHING CAN BE RECOMMENDED OVER THIS ATTRACTION. THERE IS A FEE FOR ENTRANCE, BUT WELL WORTH IT. ANY SEASON IS GOOD. YOU WON'T BE SORRY.
Amazing! Takes about 2-3 hours to see everything. Admission is $14 for general, kids less, dogs are free. We brought our dog and she loved it, lots of little forest trails to walk thorough and shaded areas with a little creek. The bluffs are worth it at the end! Easy walk and the gardens are beautiful with most species labeled.
Very beautiful setting of the variety and then the ocean view is amazing
I give this one 5 stars because it's picturesque the entire way ending at the beautiful Mendocino Coast. It's more of a walk than a hike.
