Wonderful hike with my wife and love of 30 years. Beautiful views and an ammmazing journey up and down. K&T
Beautiful view at the top and could even see horsetail falls going up!
Park at Camp Sacramento.
Great moderate hike!! Start at bottom by Strawberry lodge.
Took some friends and three very young children to the very top. Had to carry them a bit... big suggestion: make kids wear pants. They will undoubtedly fall down on the trail at some point. Make sure their legs are protected. Great hike, my second time up, and a good challenge for newer hikers.
Amazing trail with an incredible view of Strawberry down below at end. High winds made it treacherous to stand by the edge of the cliff but still well worth the effort. For the trail itself, look for camp Sacramento passed the village of Strawberry, you'll find a small dirt road that leads into the camp on the right hand side of highway 50. Go through the gate and as soon as you cross a small bridge there's parking on the left hand side. This is where the trail starts... just follow the sings that say "LL" and you'll find yourself at the end in no time.
It was a very nice fairly easy hike! Pretty views, nobody else on the trail. Our dogs loved it, had lunch at the top.
Beautiful day. Windy at the top but clear sky. We did not come down the same trail. We decided to give the steeper side a try. The trail is difficult to find at the beginning but easy to follow.
Id love to go again to lovers leap! It was such a beautiful view and soo much fun!
Easy hike with amazing views at the peak
Easy trail. Once you get to your destination it's so beautiful. The wind in your ears is like it's talking to you. Next time it would be nice to eat lunch at the top.
Lovers Leap is an extremely easy trail, but well worth the time. The view is extraordinary to say the least. We were semi taken back when we realized the trail starts at a small summer camp, but we'd definitely recommend this little 3 mile hike to anyone looking to get out and explore what this area of Northern California has to offer.
This is probably one of my favorite trails in the area because of the view; the elevation gain comes out of nowhere and lasts for the duration of the hike while the switchbacks seem to go on for forever, but the cliff end is totally worth it. Also, most of the trail is in the shade so it isn't unbearable. Good hike for families or singles or whatever.
short and sweet!
nice trail for a quick hike with a view
