Super easy hike very nice for biking if you are into that. even some shade spots to take breaks if you are a beginner. wide trail as well so no need to worry about snakes during the hot months.
Excellent trail, amazing vistas and varied terrain.
Still some green in the valleys on this trail. It's pretty much disappeared from the Las Virgenes Highlands and surrounding canyons on the north side of the 101. The green isn't going to last long so hike this trail sooner than later.
I just did the Liberty Canyon Trail hike. I might be a bit generous with a 5 star rating but I'm in a generous mood because the whole of southern California is now so green. There's nothing spectacular about this trail as compared to similar trails in the surrounding area. They all have similar views and they're also very green. This one doesn't seem to get the use that others do so it may be a more tranquil experience. It;s a very easy trail although there isn't much shade. I'd avoid it in the summer months on days when the sun is oppressive.
