Loved this hike.
We are in Bass Lake area for a wedding. My partner and I found this little gem of a hike not far from where we were staying. We were very pleasantly surprised. The trail was more beautiful than expected with lighter foot traffic than expected.
So many little side trails to the water to explore. Water falls were definitely fantastic but far from the only beautiful aspect of the creek. We found so many idyllic little pools reflecting the towering redwoods.
Simply a joy. Looking forward to coming back.
Looking forward to coming back to this trail again.
My daughter and I hiked this trail on Mothers Day in 2016. It's a moderate hike but we took our time and thoroughly enjoyed it. The smaller waterfalls were nice but we weren't prepared for the highest one at the north end of the trail. It was truly spectacular and roaring! We began early in the morning and there had been recent rains so the mosquitos were thick but after applying some repellent we were ok. We'll be going again.
its an ok trail as far as scenery a few small water falls and creeks.. trail is well marked.. a decent climb we actually walked into the sugar pine community cool cabins and pond..
There were lots of beautiful views and waterfalls with creek areas. Lots of bugs at the start of the hike but once we hiked higher they weren't an issue anymore. We did the whole trail and it seemed more than 5.5, more around 6 miles. Fun hike!
Probably my favorite trail closest to Fresno, CA. Went a few times throughout June/July....waterfalls were roaring. Great trail for trail running or hiking, climbing rocks, chasing waterfalls, etc. Tons of butterflies and ladybugs around May/Early June.
It was beautiful. The trail is in good shape and it was nice and cool in the early morning.
Great hike for the first few miles then we just got off the trail according to the app and didn't see as much waterfalls as predicted. Very steep but fun.
Beautiful the whole hike. It can get pretty busy. Looking to make the hike short and sweet but still wanting to see both waterfalls? Backtrack to the split and go the other way. For a longer hike go in a loop.
Trail was very nice and maintained. I brought my son and he did just fine, this a great trail for little family members and friends that that want to experience a moderate and nice hike. This is a nice trail for some trail running or rucking. There are great areas to stop and enjoy Mother Nature, next time I will bring a book and lunch sack and take a time out.
This time of year make sure to bring mosquito repellent.
This was our first hike ever and we were guided on this trip by our 11 year old granddaughter, who is a seasoned hiker. The hike was easy and we enjoyed it immensely. The scenery was wonderful, lots of shade with flora and fauna in abundance. We did have one Creek Crossing but it was fine with the downed logs and branches to help. We highly recommend this and will be going back over and over again. It was a beautiful hike.
This was our first hike with our boys. We all loved it! Lots of shade and beautiful scenery. The waterfalls and creek were amazing!
Really nice easy trail with one exception. A bridge is out and you have to ford the stream on logs, rocks, and branches. Not easy for an older person with balance issues.
Absolutely beautiful!!! I can't think of a better way to spend the day!
When we aren't in a drought this trail is amazing! Two amazing waterfalls and countless great places to picnic while relaxing under shade trees and the sound of cascading water. There is a natural hot spring just off the trail above Corlieu Falls for when it does cool down. Considering its 45 min to 1 hour out of Fresno this place is amazing.
Great hike! I would say it's easy/moderate. Wonderful fall views. Even though we didn't see any animals I don't suggest doing this one alone because there are mountain lion warnings.
The waterfalls are amazing right now. Everything is so lush and green with wildflowers everywhere. The hike was a bit of a workout going uphill in some spots.
