La Sierra Park is a 1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Riverside, CA that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is accessible year-round.
One of the parks in Riverside. Open all year to everybody. Start at the parking lot on Gramercy, and turn right on Mitchell along the baseball fields. When you reach the end on Gramercy, pass the Community Center and turn left on La Sierra. Walk to the end of the park, then turn around and head back to the area.
I copied that from the city website. It pretty much says it all. I would just add that there is a horse trail on the east side of the park. It is actually used by horses. I saw the hoof prints and the road apples! Also the sound of roosters crowing in the morning added to the small town rural atmosphere.
This park was built for baseball! If you don't have a bat or glove, take a walk around the fields. You will find fun for the family at the playground, covered picnic area and recreation center. With all the baseball fencing, this park is a bit difficult to walk through so we recommend walking around the perimeter. Enjoy the home of La Sierra Little League and Riverside Girls Softball!
