popular place, the views are why. short walk to ruined mansion and easy to find.
I don't think this is a trail, but more of an old fire road.
It's a nice walk that has a view at the end, nothing more. Usually crowded all of the time.
Está muy bonito para tomar fotos en las ruinas acre un pequeño dia de campo y luego ir a la caminata el sendero es largo.
Amazing view. It was a great 5 min hike. Entrance is by a red gate. Do not continue on pass it, you will get lost lol
Easy and fun!! Loved the ruins..
The path in is a dirt driveway; don't bother if you're looking for a challenge. This is an easy walk with interesting ruins and a beautiful view at the end. The drive through the surrounding area is nice as well. Take a few minutes and check out the painted cave that's a few miles away
Short short walk to the ruins. Cool and very scenic. The views from this home must have been amazing.
This short little walk leads you out to the top of the Santa Ynez Valley and offers an unparalleled view of the valley and Cachuma Lake. The 'castle' ruins are truly one-of-a-kind, I've never seen anything like it anywhere else in California. It's easy to spend an afternoon exploring all the paths and oddities around the stone structures. The land is privately owned and random things the owner keeps there like a grill, petroleum tanks and an unfinished boat take away from the mystique of the whole place, but those things are easy to overlook with the majestic view.
Not much of a "hike", but who doesn't love stunning views and old ruins to climb around on? Really fun to visit at night, too!
Majestic views, really cool to explore, definitely not a hike though, more of a quick 5 min nature walk
Beautiful place but the trailer and construction are taking away from it at the moment. Very easy to get to.
Great views from the Stone Arch. Take your camera to take shots of Lake Cachuma
This trail was not 1.5 out and back unless we didn't arrive at the correct trail-head. Only .75 out and back. Great views of Santa YNEZ Valley and Cachuma Lake though!
What a view for the ten minute hike to get to Knapps! Love it
