Keys View Loop to Inspiration Point Trail is a 1.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Desert Center, CA that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from March until October.
This is a fantistic view of the Salton Sea to the south east to the San Jacinto mountains in the west. Panoramic view of the Coachella-La Quinta-Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs. Worth the time driving there and camera shots.
My First time at Keys View, It’s true what other have said that this is one of the best panoramic views in Joshua Tree National Park. The view towards Salton Sea specially was outstanding. You don't want to come to this location too early, explore the other sites and do some hiking and come here to observe the Sunset is really what everybody should experience.
If you want to get away from the crowds at Keys View this is perfect. The trail isn't marked anymore but you can find it pretty easily as it is well worn. Look towards the end of the parking lot (where the view is) on the opposite side that everyone walks up. You hike to the top of the hill, go down a saddle, and the next hill you climb is Inspiration Peak. It should be marked with some stacked rocks. You should have the peak to yourself.
the view is great and you can see mt. jacinto from here. this is the highest point in the park that you can drive to. Come here at sunset and you won't be dissapointed.
