This is an easy trail near Crestline, CA. You park in Camp Seeley in a small dirt parking lot. This trail is short and along a creek with some small water falls and 10 - 15 foot water fall near Heart Rock. Some of the small water falls could be used as natural water slides.
Short, family friendly hike. Waterfall was beautiful after the rain in January lately. You can hike the trail next to the stream or there is also a paved road just above it that will take you to the heart rock.
Short easy hike to do with the family/children
Nice trail to bring your family to. Very easy hike.
It a nice easy hike. and the heart looks nice when is dry or when water is flowing through it. so either way is a win.
Beautiful scenery. Water is flowing. Short trail, but there are some cool areas to see off the trail and beyond the rock. Especially the giant burned out pine. Unfortunately lots of foot traffic including people with loud radios kid of ruins the tranquility. Also there's lots of graffiti and broken glass/trash. The heart had a stuffed clown head floating in it.
There are definitely some scary drop offs and treacherous moments in this trail- parents keep an eye out.
Short and easy fun little hike
Took my Girl Scout troop of brownies here for their first hike. It was easy enough that they had a great time. It worried me a little when we got to the actual heart rock, as it's pretty steep but otherwise great for those more adventurous. It was beautiful to hike during the fall leaves. We went on a cooler day 56 degrees and there were no bugs. However there wasn't any water for the falls even with the storm last week. Definitely want to come back when there's water :).
loved it except the water fall was dry
Awesome for kids and dogs...a place where you can admire all the trees...great way to bond with your family.
this was a very short but sweet trail.first time found heart Rock easily took all three young children under 10 they loved it. go before 9 am to avoid flying Nat's and bugs
Excellent family friendly trail. Took my whole family on this trail. Dad, mom 6 year old, 8 year old and 15 year old daughter. Perfect short family outing.
We've hiked this trail twice. Once spring of 2015. The water level was significant and we had a great time getting wet. Our golden retriever had a great time as well.
The second hike was late summer of 2016. It was completely dry, zero water level. This made it different and unique, which allowed us to go farther than the first time.
Both hikes we're great And we had a good time. Our golden liked it as well even though there was zero water.
We Will definitely do this again.
great hike, so beautiful and peaceful. but I would day it's an easy one more like moderate. definitely not for kids under 10
