Fobes Trail is a 3 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Mountain Center, CA that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, trail running, and camping and is accessible year-round.
Directions from Mountain Center, CA: Travel south on Highway 74, continuing several miles past Lake Hemet (Garner Valley Area, which lies between Idyllwild and Palm Springs). Turn left (east) onto Fobes Ranch Road (6S05). This hike leaves Garner Valley from Fobes Ranch Road.

I hiked up Fobes to the PCT then east to the junction of the PCT - Cedar Spring trail then returned. A nice hike. Great views a nice workout. Some pics and the hike profile in the link below.
