Easy. Whoever gave this a moderate is crazy. Nothing hard at all. A few quick assents, but, for the most part, fire roads.

Good little hike. Nice view. And lots of different paths to choose from. I've done it twice and would definitely do it again.

Overall nice short hike for taking dog. Good views at top. Not busy during week. Parts of trail washed out and uneven.

Great trail. Loads of options to make the hike more extensive and challenging. Some shade but a lot of exposed trail. Looks like there are some nice single tracks for mountain biking. Trail is dusty and there are some rocky areas so wear good trail runners.

I jog this trail almost very day. The views are beautifull. I go at all times of the day & sometimes run for three hours & never see anyone. When the moon is full, it's heaven. There is a horse trough & dog & people fountain at the Ultimate Destination Trail. There's a great training mountain on Descanso Trail. Yes there is the practice gun range but it is occasional. The people are super friendly!!! Cherry is KING!!!!

Fun place with tons of options. The signage is outstanding, so getting truly lost is not really going to happen. One big downside is the persistent sound of gunfire from the local police firing range, so not many quiet moments. It city of La Canada has a page showing all these trails and you can actually use them to loop the city.
