Great hike, and beautiful!
The hike is strenuous, but the trail is well maintained and the views are worth the effort. Clear days afford breathtaking views views of Mt. Shasta to the north.
The farther I got along this trail, the steeper it got, the better the view and the more pictures I took !!
Can't wait to go back !!
This hike was probably one of the hardest hikes I've done but worth it! The views are amazing! Bring lots of water!
amazing views... incredibly strenuous, but well worth the views. if you go past the top of the hikes look out spot be prepared for a bit of a climb (not bad). wear good shoes and stock up water at the spring on your way up.
It is not for the out of shape hiker but is a whole lot of fun!
Great trip with amazing views of Mt. Shasta and Castle Crags.
this is one of the best hikes I've been one. so many places to explore. great place for free climbing.
This hike is absolutely stunning. Went up early to beat the heat today. Stunning views of the crags and Mt. Shasta. There's some steep inclines and minor rock climbs required but no crazy gear necessary. Totally worth the hike. AllTrails says it's only 2.5K ft up but it actually takes you up to the dome at about 4.5k ft up before the reap rock climbing begins and takes you about 6.5k ft up. Worth a day to hike! Took us about 3 hours round trip with stops for photos.
A great hike. Such incredible views and a fantastic feeling of accomplishment at the end. A great way to spend my Saturday.
As someone just getting back into hiking, it was challenging but still an attainable goal. Since I'm just getting back in shape it was a 5 hour round trip. we were a little shaky coming down, but the views and exhilaration were totally worth it. If you're not in shape this "easy" trail will take some time and effort, but if your a moderate hiker, still expect to take around 3-4 hours
