Bullards Basin - Sunrise Creek Loop is a 12.8 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Forks of Salmon, California that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from June until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
This lightly used route passes through gentle terrain of lush meadows and broad valleys, affording access to several lakes and an easily climbed peak. History buffs take note: The trail skirts some of the area's best mining relics at the Yellow Rose and Dorleska Mines. Free wilderness permit required for overnight visitors. Free campfire permits required for fires and camp stoves. Trails in the Trinity Alps are always open: however, most trailhead access roads are closed or impassable during winter.
