awesome views in the winter

Trailhead is difficult to find if you're not familiar with the area. Just be sure to go INTO the Buckhorn Campground, not the day use area, and follow signs to Burkhart Trailhead. The trail is pretty easy overall, and short. The only challenge is the drop into the base of the falls which is not marked on the trail. It is short but very ragged and steep. Small children can get there with an adults help.

Trail is steep at times, but amazing valley views. Cooper Canyon camp was a little disappointing, as there was little seclusion at each site.

Good Scenery, plenty of branches off to other trails.
