Bette Davis Picnic Area Walk is a 1.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Glendale, California that features a river. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for walking.
A "Must Do" for Bette Davis fans! This beautiful park, where Bette once leisured, is a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle of Ventura Freeway.
Straddled along the Los Angeles River and North of Griffith park, this park holds the tranquil beauty of green grass lawn and lowly, bent trees with stunning white trunks.
The park was given in name of the Hollywood legend, Bette Davis, whom formerly resided at the West end of the park @ 1705 Rancho Ave.
I visited her park in April 2014, the 1st stop of my personal "All Things Bette Davis" tour.
A most lovely park, perfect for a leisure stroll, relaxation and a picnic.
Alot of places I used to hang around at as a kid have changed names like the Johnny Carson Park and now this park, Bette Davis. Unless they have done alot to this park since I was last there it's not much to look at. The Old Zoo Park is more fun and the hike to Bee Rock is an urban challenge.
