I drove my Jeep from Joshua Tree to Indio, using Geology Tour Road and Berdoo Canyon Trail. The trails were fairly easy. There are only a few areas where you have to be careful due to rocks and ground clearance.

Hiked this trail back in June 26, 2013, this is a popular trail with the Jeep Tours in Palm Springs. This is also where many firearm owners go, to go target shooting. The objects they leave behind are astonishing. It’s making the desert look like a dump. Anyway, there’s a mine on this trail around two miles away. Note if you drive a low clearance vehicle? You’ll need to park before the wash and walk from there on. This is another trail with no shading, so have sun protection and plenty of water.
