off road driving
There's approximately 1.5 miles of paved road once you turn north to this road. For those people on a Sunday cruise to this place. There's a canal where the pavement have been washed away. It's at that spot where you really should be in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. You can safely cross it in a standard car because the ground is completely covered with rocks and when you make it to the other side where the pavement continues, it's only short lived, because the pavement only stretch for around 200 feet then is dirt road from there on. It's times like that you wished you were driving a Subaru or a 4x4 truck or Jeep. This canal is famous for gun owners who frequently go there to fire their weapons on targets or aluminum cans. This route you'll discover is actively traveled by the Jeep Tours, so expect to see their yellow Jeep or red Hummer passing thru. The views are not the greatest but worth exploring. What's interesting to note, you have to drive to Dillon Road to get to this place. If you wanted to add a bonus to your Sunday cruise? On your return to Dillon Road from Berdoo Rd. turn right on Dillon and after a mile or two you'll experience the whoopee doos, like a roller coaster because the road will pass over a series of humps, where you'll subconsciously start driving faster to feel the negative "G" force and ends at Thousand Palms Canyon Road intersection. If anything! this is going to be the best part of the adventure!! :)
