Saturday, 01/23/2016 I completed "B Mountain" inside Naval Air Weapon Station China Lake. The 5.0 mile RT hike was pretty mellow on a nice windy breezy cold morning. 0.83 miles is a long straight way that climbs in elevation (seems to not end) and then starts to curb and the hike continues to ascend uphill, flat and a few switchbacks. I was pleased to locate the official peak log, which I was happy to sign. At the peak, is a little radio-type hut and on that windy breezy morning, I heard radio communication which was kind of freaky but cool. To the west is a metal shaped pyramid post which is cool to take a picture with. Approximately 500 feet below the peak is a mini peak that has viewpoint old wooden structure facing the base. It was cool to take a picture.
