This is a very easy walk along the Salinas River (which is underground here - so more like a riverbed). It is not the most picturesque hike, but it is mostly flat with a few small ups and downs. We saw a few small birds and many vultures resting in some of the oak trees along the trail. Some of the trail is made up of a lot of loose stone and gravel so not always the easiest to walk on. There was parking in a lot right off from Sycamore Road where the trail begins. Trails are no marked so not always clear where it is or which path to take.

Not even sure if we went to the right location, but I would definitely not go back. It was the Juan Bautista trails, but there seem to be a couple entry points all over town. This particular one didn't just look like a creepy area, it felt like it too. I would not recommend this one to anyone right now. If you are headed to the 6805 Sycamore Rd location based off of several local websites, choose another one.

Interesting. Very difficult to know if you're following the right trail. There are a lot of motorcycle trails down there as well. Had fun exploring.
