The parking, restrooms and gate close at dusk (sunset) they open at 6:30am
you're behind a fence the whole time, cove on one side, neighborhood on the other. If I could explore the actual cove instead of being on the outside of an exhibit...
Don't mark this on your calendar.
Not a bad birding spot for in the city if you don't mind the heavy foot traffic A wick disclaimer- I don't really qualify as a amateur birder just yet., The fence can get in the way, there are walking paths that go off and slightly above the asphalt bike path for people to sit, enjoy the view or get your binoculars out. Just be sure to be back at your car by nightfall or you may find the return path blocked by gates.
Great walk liked the view
This is a great place for an easy walk with flat, paved road. Nice native plants & wildlife. Good views. Excellent for dog walkers.
This is my regular training trail. Easy paved road with undulating elevation changes. Good for a quick run or walk that can easily be completed in under one hour. Free parking on either end (Lincoln or Ball Road). It has markers every 10th of a mile. I use these to vary my walk/run segments.
Mostly walkers, runners and dog walkers. There are occasionally bike riders so be aware if you have headphones in, you might not hear them behind you.
