Alameda Creek Regional Trail follows the banks of Alameda Creek in southern Alameda County from the mouth of Niles Canyon (in the Niles District of Fremont) westward to San Francisco Bay The trail on the south bank provides access to Coyote Hills Regional Park. An additional 3.5 mile loop trail making the run west from Niles Canyon along the trail, through Coyote Hills and back again, qualifies in distance for marathon runs. For those who want to clock shorter distances along the trail, markers have been installed at quarter mile intervals. (Mileages below.) The trail is accessible from several thoroughfares in the Fremont, Union City and Newark areas. MOTOR VEHICLES ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE TRAIL.

Nice running and biking trail. Parts of trail have an abundance of birds and squirrels.

Overall, a very nice ride. I parked at Isherwood Way, near Paseo Padre Pkwy. Once I parked, I noticed there are two trails along the creek. The inner trail is gravel and dirt. The outer trail is paved. I took the paved trail towards Niles Canyon. Very nice ride and pretty views. It was about 6 miles there and back to the parking lot, so I went the opposite way. Going that way was not as scenic, and had more people, but still a decent ride. Throughout the ride, I noticed several patch up work on the paved trail, so the ride wasn't very smooth. Flat ride, with the exceptions of going under the bridges, in which case you have a minor hill.

Will probably go again soon. It is good training trail for an upcoming race.

Nice trail traveling north to coyote hills. Easy paved trail that we frequented as kids. Perfect as I grew up and purchased a mountain bike.
