This hike was worth the drive down from Kansas City. The trail is very well maintained and the view, the entire hike around the rim is spectacular. Depending on which way you drive up, all wheel or 4 wheel drive is preferable.

Awesome easy trail. One of those trails that offers a ton to see for an easy short hike. However, be careful with small children bc there are several places that you are really close to cliff edges. Follow the signs driving up. We took Google maps and it sent us up an old atv trail to get to the top. Not good! Views are awesome, make sure you go on a clear day. Fog or clouds will sit on the mountain top killing any views.

This has been one of my favorite hikes in Arkansas so far. The views are spectacular on all sides, and it's very accessible. There is plenty of parking at the top, and the road up is pretty much your standard gravel road. Part of the drive is out of cellular service, but directional signs have been greatly improved in the past few years.

We had a great time, even though the wind was really blowing. Great sites and very easy trail for anyone who likes to hike. Want to watch your step on some of the trail that's close to the bluff!!

White Rock Mountain offers great scenic views and has 3 CCC built cabins and Lodge for guest. The OHT intersects with the rim trail on the mountain. This tim trail offers amazing views and wonderful sunsets/rises. Great for a day hike with the kids or girlfriend. I like to rent a cabin for a few nights and enjoy time in one of the CCC built shelters along this trail taking in the views.

The Trail was a nice hike, but the horse flies were terrible though. I like to come to white rock a couple times a year, but I've never been this late in the summer.

This trail is really beautiful. I'm very afraid of heights but enjoyed this hike. I was driving through Arkansas on a cross country moving trip. So I drove all the way up here in a 16 ft Penske truck. You have to drive up 6-7 miles well maintained dirt road to get to the trail, i was terrified on the last stretch where you drove along a ridge on a narrow dirt road.
The trail is also scary if you don't like heights but the amazing views made up for it.

awesome views. we were nervous about taking our 3 year old daughter but if you are a responsible parent and hold their hand or carry them, your kid will be fine. you actually don't even have to hike (more like walk) on the trail to get great views, there is a lookout point at the very beginning of the trail. but why not? it's an easy, beautiful trail. Have fun and be safe.

This trail offers Colorado views in Arkansas. Fantastic views. Great for sunset and sunrise views. Great photo ops. Nice for fee forest service primitive campground, rental cabins. Very popular. In the fall months you have to reserve the cabins two years in advance. Great backpacking trail for an extended hike of 13 miles. It is also a trailhead for the Ozark highland trail. Great area.
