This particular trail starts at a small quarry pond that offers paddle boats and two scenic views that overlook the Arkansas River on the Trail head side and at the turn around point if you continue past the loop taking East Quarry Trail. The trail loop starts about half way down the trail.
This is a good trail to hike inside the state park and have seclusion. About 3/4 of it is through the woods then quickly ascends to s nice view of Pinnacle mountain, Arkansas river and lake Maumelle. Trail starts at the visitor center.
Good hike when you don't have much time. Not alot of people and the view from the top is great. Probably my favorite local trail.
This is a really nice trail with some great views. The trails around Pinnacle get pretty crowded as the weather gets warmer but this one is usually a little less crowded.
Nice view at the beginning and the end.
great hike not to hard quarry worth the time soft dirt was nice very scenic areas. would do again
Beautiful trail. I only saw one other group of people. Go to the East Quarry Overlook, its amazing. Close enough to home/far enough way to feel in the woods.
This is one of my favorite's in the Little Rock area. Went after work and was the ONLY person on it. Mostly shaded so sun is not an issue. Great views at the top.
It contains the word "rocky" for a reason--expect to have to slow down in spots (particularly trailrunners) to navigate larger rocks. Overall, though, it's a well-maintained, widepath trail that's generally quiet. About 1mi in there's a diversion called the East Quarry Trail. Take the diversion! It leads to a scenic overlook that rivals the summit of Pinnacle.
Great running trail, the river bank is a perfect spot to cool off in after coming down from the overlook
Took my 4 year old and dog on the trail, besides the large groups walking the trail it was very pleasant. Hope to have the opportunity to go back.
Nice clean trail with nice views.
