BEAUTIFUL WALK AROUND LAKE LEATHERWOOD LAKE THE WILDLIFE IS ABUNDANT HERE,THE VIEWS ARE BEATIFUL.THE HAND HEWN,AND HAND SET BRIDGE ACROSS THE LAKE IS WORTH THE WALK.THERE ARE NOW SEVERAL GEOCACHES IN THE LOOP SO MAKE SURE AND LOOK FOR THOSE AS WELL. IF YOUR THE FISHING TYPE BRING YOUR FISHING POLE. ALL YOU HIKERS WILL LOVE THIS ONE TOO. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER TO BE PREPARED AND ALWAYS LET SOMEONE KNOW WHERE YOU ARE.
Very beautiful scenery and great running trail. Great family hike as well
Great trail, beautiful lake, take a fishing pole, didn't finish but when I'm up this way again I will.
I hiked this trail with my daughter. The dam/bridge made the hike worthwhile. The lake is beautiful, and there weren't many people on the trail. The difficulty was easy/moderate.
If you go down to the office by the boat dock, you can pick up a trail map.
Took my 9 and 5 year old on the Leatherwood loop (which went by a different name on all signs). Trails were clear of limbs/debris and we had a good hike. Ran into a copperhead on the end of the trail that runs through the creek bed, but other than that, no issues.
Not a bad little trail. Some hills, watch out for loose rocks may roll an ankle. Really cool dam.
Beautiful scenery, trail was a little rough to determine at times.
Great hike. Trail could have been marked better
. Nice moderate hike, nice scenery. Only drawback found trail was not well marked based on app directions
Excellent hike. trails in good condition
Nice hike with the dam being the highlight. the lake is beautiful.
awesome trail. not to hard. saw dear. Lake is really gorgeous and the trail loops the lake.
This was a pretty nice trail and the dam was something a little different. Be careful going down in the winter though. We almost got stuck because the roads stayed frozen for a lot longer than we thought they would.
this trail is a lot of fun and great views
