The trail passes through the pine/hardwood forest of the park to the top of Dam Mountain. Spring and fall offer a variety of wildflowers, plants, and animal life. Streams and cascades are great for providing solitude and attracting the keen eye of the photographer.

Great trail with great vantage points. Overgrowth was a bit worse than expected, but well worth the view!

The wife and I had a great hike. There are 3 trails to chose from and we took the one leading to the falls. The trail head map indicated it was a 2 mile trek that takes about 1 1/2 hrs. We completed it in 45 minutes starting around noon on a Saturday. It was hot, but there is a stream that you can find some relief from along the path. The falls were just a trickle... could have been the time of year and the heat wave we are in the middle of. We will be back. The other 2 trails are said to be more difficult and steeper. Wear good shoes.

Was a great hike! Definitely one I'll do again. The trail makes a loop... Follow the signs and take path to the right for little easier hike.

This is a pretty nice trail and not too hard except for a pretty steep uphill on the backside. Combine this one with the other trails at Lake Catherine.

It is really 4 1/2 miles from start to where 3 trails break at waterfalls. This was not easy but moderate to difficult because of strep areas and climbing across rock at end. Some wet crossings. Beautiful waterfall.

Awesome trail. Marked well, easily to traverse and beautiful. There's a couple of steep sections but for the most part, it's pretty easy.

I think this was a easy trail, located on Lake Catherine State Park From I-30 take exit 97 go north about 12 miles on HWY 171 into the park all the way down just follow the trail signs. This trail is well marked with white blazes and signs You will first see the lake and then the falls which is absolutely beautiful from there you will see a sign on top of the falls that has Dam Mt trail and all throughout the trail white blazes Itll get a little steep with a elevation of 500 at the most There will be a vista where there is a bench to sit and take in the view of the lake then it is all down hill from there and you'll be headed back towards the falls Very nice trail..

Not bad, slightly confusing at trailhead-- so I ended up doing both the falls branch trail and the dam mountain trail. Enjoyable hike with a few uphill sections that get your heart rate up. Waterfall was dry, but still a cool spot. Probably will go back when there's more water flow.

One of my favorite trails in Hot Springs. It has enough uphill spikes to make you feel like you actually hiked that day but not so many that you're completely worn out by the end. Amazing waterfall at the start of the trail. Can't wait to go back.

This trail is on Lake Catherine, nice waterfall within 1 mile of trailhead and campground, lots of traffic on this section, continue past waterfall up steep and rocky climb to ridge top for nice views of lake on 4 mile loop. Only downside was camping with loud power plant on the lake!

I love hiking this trail. Part of the trail crosses the Falls Branch Trail, and you cross over the falls.
