Bear Cave Trail is a 1.2 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Morrilton, Arkansas that features a cave and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and rock climbing and is best used from January until May. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Bear Cave trail is a walk under, around, through and over gigantic sandstone boulders. The huge rocks form a number of rock shelters and narrow passageways. You can wander through these stone monoliths or walk to the edge of the bluff for great scenic views of the surrounding valley.
short but cool cave
I recommend doing this with the interpreter on the guided hike with the park employee. Check with the visitor center for schedule. There is some interesting history with this place.
Great trail fairly short and easy lots of nice spots to stop and take pictures.
Nice and easy in and out trail! Caves were very enjoyable.
Beautiful rock formations. Amazing!
Nice easy hike with great views, big rocks and a cave to boot. Well worth the stopover for such a short hike.
Fun little hike. A bit close to the highway in spots, but worth checking out for sure. The rock formations are beautiful.
A blast climbing up and over the rocks to an amazing view from the top.
Easy. Quick. Beautiful. Such a fun little hike to do with the family.
October 2015: Hiked all Petit Jean State Park trails, this was a really beautiful and special hike.
Loved it. The best part is climbing the rocks at the end.
This is a very short trail, but great for scrambling over some rocks and a great view from the top of the rocks.
Very nice but short hike with lots of interesting rock formations which you can climb up on and spend alot of time there just relaxing checking out the scenery of all the rock formations while sitting on top of one.
