Thunderbird H-2 Trail is a 2.3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Glendale, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round.
The trail is great for hiking and normally takes 1-3 hours. This is a nice, steady, non-strenuous, climb to the summit for anyone who is somewhat active. The type of incline where you can hold a conversation all the way up. Slightly rocky in parts but manageable. Nice American Flag planted at the top in a rock pile.
Great local hike for a bit of stair stepping and areas to run in the trail. Great flow to the trail.
Thunderbird and Deem Hills parks are both nice for anyone living in the West Valley Phoenix area. Most trails are loops from easy to moderate difficulty. I like them both
A very serviceable hike and one that seems popular. This one has the ability to get your blood pumping but still allows you to maintain a conversation.
