dogs on leash
Challenging for a beginner for sure. Very rocky so it's easy to lose your footing. To circle back to the parking lot, take the sunrise trail to the coach whip trail.
Poorly marked trails
Narrow and lots of lose small rocks but scenery is good
Loved this hike! Beautiful scenery with awesome views of surrounding mountain vistas, some of them snow capped. Trail is very windy with lots of up and downs. Recommend good boots for sure footing as some areas can be slippery. Some of the tail is technically challenging in that it is narrow and you need to use surrounding rock to pull yourself up. Elevation gain is not too bad as it is in segments due to the windy, up and down trail. We will definitely do this hike again.
great level Trail
It is hard to find. Once you do find it it is pretty steep.
